After 5 consecutive days of Whole Body Cryotherapy – ALYCIA POYNTON opens up her Cryo Journal. She shares everything from why she loves to Cryo to how she typically feels before and after she enters the Cryo Chamber.

1. I discovered Alchemy Cryo when…

I read an article about the health benefits of cryo! I started googling and came across all of the videos from Alchemy Cryo. The whole idea of cryo seemed pretty scary but the team at Alchemy were amazing at answering any questions I had (there were a lot). After doing a lot of research on the different types of chambers I knew there was no where else I’d rather go! 

2. My first Alchemy Cryo memory…

I did my first cryo with a friend (@sporttt - check his page out for some great motivation & training tips) - after standing there for about two minutes, our eyelashes started to turn white, I nearly ran out the door at that point - but trust me, stick the whole time out! 

3. Why I love to Cryo…

The feeling after is indescribable, you really do have to experience it first hand! You feel so clear minded and energised - and sleep like a baby! 

4. Why I decided to do 5 consecutive days of Whole Body Cryo…

It was my first week in a new job! I had two days off between finishing my old one and starting this one, not to mention my house had just been deemed uninhabitable after Cyclone Debbie and I hadn’t started a new lease yet. I was exhausted and needed something to keep me focused and sleeping well! 

5. On Day 1, I felt…

Cold! I had just moved from Hamilton Island and it was the middle of a Melbourne winter. But cryo was the best thing for me to do, three minutes in there and I was instantly acclimatised, it suddenly felt like spring! 

6. On Day 5, I felt…

Full of energy! I had just finished a week of the most intense training of my life. I was up at 5.30 every morning and in bed at 11pm every night but felt like I’d had ten hours of sleep! 

7. Before I entered the Cryo Chamber, I typically felt…

I always had butterflies in my tummy, it is almost a love hate relationship- the first minute is always the most difficult, after that you feel amazing.

8. After I exited the Cryo Chamber, I typically felt… 

On top of the world! The endorphin rush when you step out is incredible (and definitely your body giving you a high-five for sticking it out!). 

9. My favourite benefits of completing 5 consecutive days of Whole Body Cryo...

Who doesn’t love their jeans fitting better! And, cellulite completely vanished!

Terrible! Starting a new job and staying in a hotel, I didn’t meal prep at all and whilst my choices are always pretty good a few lollies crept in throughout the week! 

15. My training regime during the 5 Days…

Just a 40 minute walk every morning and quick circuit.

Working for the best company in the world ... Sidekicker! 

I also write a blog with tips to save you lots of cashola and even though I struggle to run 1km at the moment, my newest hobby will be running as I have recently been invited to join White Ribbon in the 2018 New York Marathon 😂.
